13-15 February 2014 / 14-15 Adar
I - 5774
It was during this Time, years ago, during the
days of Queen Esther, that God's people celebrated the great Victory that
the LORD God had given them over those who hated them and sought their
destruction.
Esther 9:21-22, 26-28 "To stablish
[this] among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month
Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly, as the days wherein the
Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them
from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make
them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and
gifts to the poor…
Wherefore they called these days Purim
after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and [of
that] which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto
them, the Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and
upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail,
that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and
according to their [appointed] time every year;
And [that] these days [should be]
remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every
province, and every city; and [that] these days of Purim should not fail
from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed."
Most Christians are not taught to
remember or commemorate this Time, nor do they celebrate other Biblical Holy Days, to
the great pleasure of God's enemy, who is "that Old Serpent, which is the
Devil, and Satan."
People are being conditioned to disregard
the Commandments
of God, and what He inspired men to record in the Holy Scriptures. Sadly,
God's Word has even been devalued and/or just dismissed in many churches!
SIN will taint you and obscure
your view of the Truth, which is why SIN is so dangerous to walk in. Only through
Jesus Christ can we be set free from SIN and its very damaging and
damning affects.
And IT IS only by the grace of God (His genuine favor upon
our lives), that any of us can be spared from the "wrath of God" that will come upon
this world, that according to God's Word, is "fitted
to destruction."
We surely need the LORD,
especially in these very difficult and trying times in which we are living.
I pray that you will have "eyes to see" and "ears to hear" the Truth as you
call upon the name of the LORD, from a sincere and repentant heart. And may
it be your heart's desire to truly know Him as you seek to honor God and
obey His Holy Word.
Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus said, "Not every one that
saith unto Me, LORD, LORD, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he
that doeth the will of My Father which is in Heaven.
Many will say to Me in that Day, LORD, LORD,
have we not prophesied in Thy name? And in Thy name have cast out devils?
And in Thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto
them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity."
God is the JUDGE of ALL that really
matters in Life, and He has said that there will be many at the Final
"Judgment of God" who will be denied entry into the Kingdom of Heaven
because HE "never knew" them.
Please seriously consider the following
questions and comments:
Do YOU know the LORD? And more importantly,
does HE know you? In other words, do you have a genuine and loving
relationship with God? Does HIS WORD truly matter in your life? And do you
purposefully seek to please God in all that you say and do?
Do you honestly hate SIN? Do you actively
strive to NOT SIN? Or are you among those who pray, "Please God, forgive me
for my many sins?" If THAT is your prayer, and you can flagrantly
SIN, then you have not been forgiven and you need to REPENT of your SIN. And
if any "minister" of God admits to having "many sins," they need to
"step
down" until they truly bow before God and seek His forgiveness for
their SIN.
True Christians make mistakes along
the way, which is why forgiveness is so important, but it is NOT
acceptable
with the LORD God Almighty for His people to willfully SIN against Him, and His Holy Word.
Pride is one of the most dangerous sins for a
Christian, because the one
who is filled with self-righteous pride is usually the last to see it. And
only those who are deceived, can actually believe the lie
that SIN is to be tolerated and overlooked among believers in Jesus
Christ. If you are among those who turn a "blind eye" to your SIN and the
sin of others, may Almighty God open your eyes to the Truth!
Romans 6:16-23 "Know ye not, that to
whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye
obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
But God be thanked, that ye were the servants
of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was
delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of
righteousness.
I speak after the manner of men because of the
infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to
uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members
servants to righteousness unto holiness. For when ye were the servants of
sin, ye were free from righteousness.
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof
ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
But now being made free from sin, and
become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end
Everlasting Life.
For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God [is] Eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD."
God has sent His servants and His Son, to inform and
warn His people, and I pray that you are one who truly believes the Testimony of Jesus!
John 3:33-36 "He
that hath received His Testimony hath set to His seal that God is true. For
He whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the
Spirit by measure [unto Him.]
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all
things into His hand. He that believeth on the Son hath Everlasting Life:
and he that believeth not the Son shall not see Life; but the wrath of God
abideth on him."
May I NEVER FORGET God, and His dear Son, and what
they have done! And I will strive to be true to God, and proclaim the Truth of the Gospel, as long as I have breath,
for such a Time as this!
