Eve of Yom Kippur
3 October 2014 / 9 Tishrei

On the first day of the seventh Jewish month,
Tishrei (late September or early October), the shofar/trumpet is blown during
Rosh Hashanah, which signifies that a momentous event is about to take place.
According to Leviticus 23:23–25, this special
Sabbath is to be holy unto the Lord, and was an important time to prepare for
the Judgment. Ten days later, the Day of Atonement (a.k.a. Yom Kippur),
is commemorated, which is the highest holy day on the Hebrew/Biblical calendar.
Repentance and forgiveness is the focus of this
very special holy day, and when the temple in Jerusalem was still standing, it
was the one day of the year that the LORD God allowed the high priest, and
only him, to go into the holy place to make atonement for his sins and the
sins of the people.
I believe it was on this day that Jesus, the Son
of the only living God, was miraculously conceived by the power of the Holy
Spirit, within the veil, where no eyes could see, except the Holy
It is this same Jesus, whom God raised from
the dead, “by Whom we have now received the atonement,” and “Who is gone into
heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being
made subject unto Him.”
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens,
Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
For we have not an high priest which cannot be
touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like
as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of
grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
It is very sad to watch people praying at the
Western Wall in Jerusalem (via
the Kotel), knowing that most of them do not even know the Lord Jesus
Christ, the only one who can save their souls.
So many Jewish people have yet to see that Jesus
is the Messiah of Israel, but they will one day; and I am amazed at how God
ensured that the day of Jesus’ conception would be highly exalted by His
chosen people without them knowing the great significance of that very special holy day
until the time appointed.
May God have mercy on all those (whether it be Jew
or Gentile), who are not yet able
to see that it is Jesus, “In Whom we have redemption through His blood, the
forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;”
But for those who say they are "once saved, always
saved," and they are able to sin against God and their own body, without a war
going on inside, they need to realize that Christ is still on the outside waiting
to come in.
Jesus said, "Except a man be born of water and of
the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." And despite what men
may say or believe, to be born of water and the Spirit is solely in the
hands of God.
This is the SEASON where wolves in sheep's clothing are
walking about seeking whom they may devour, and ALL God's people need to be
aware that to be slain in the spirit, aka baptism in the
spirit, IS NOT of God!
I Am greatly concerned that God's people,
particularly our youth, are being led away by false teachers and smooth talking
ministers, who are luring them to their charismatic churches and events. Please
BE WARNED, and have nothing to do with the works of the Devil!
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man
hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him,
and he with Me.
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me
in My throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit
saith unto the churches.
