The Biblical Pentecost

A Commemoration of God's Holy Word

as given by His Spirit, His Son, and Himself!

6 Sivan 5776 / 11-12 June 2016

Today, 6 Sivan 5776 (Hebrew calendar), is the Biblical Pentecost, which occurs fifty days after the remembrance of Jesus' resurrection, which was three days after Passover. And it was on this holy day of Pentecost that God poured out His Spirit upon those who were prayerfully waiting in Jerusalem, just as He had promised, in fulfillment of Joel 2:28.

Joel 2:27-32 "And ye shall know that I Am in the midst of Israel, and that I Am the LORD your God, and none else: and My people shall never be ashamed.

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out My spirit.

And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call."

For those who have read my testimony, they know that 2/28/1993 is also very significant! It was on that day that the Holy Spirit manifested in a person and spoke, and that person happened to be me!

It may be hard to believe that the Lord actually spoke through me, but He did. And He spoke in a very mighty way! I hope you will prayerfully consider these prophetic words and how they may apply to your life.

Prophecy of 28 February 1993

“Many things you have been taught here has been done in secrecy and in darkness. You have been taught truth mixed with lies, and the LORD says it will go on no longer!

And you (pastor), is the one who has taught the lies, and the LORD says it will go on no longer in this home.

And the LORD is giving you a chance to turn from your sin. And He is so forgiving that He will not hold your sin against you if you repent. And if you do not, you will die!

And he is my husband. I love him with a love that cannot be broken. I love you too, but with a brotherly love. And I beg you to repent!

Everything you have learned here has been tainted with evil, and you can’t hold on to any of it. The only thing that you can hold on to is the fact that Jesus Christ died for you, and by His mighty power, God raised Him from the dead. And if you believe that in your heart, and claim Him as LORD, He will put the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, inside of you, to lead you and guide you into the truth!

Light will overshadow darkness, and darkness will not be able to stand in the presence of God!”

Consider these comforting and very important words from the Lord:

John 14:23-29 "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

He that loveth me not keepeth not My sayings: and the word which ye hear is not Mine, but the Father's which sent Me.

These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved Me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for My Father is greater than I.

And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe."

Another passage that I hope you will take the time to read is when three thousand souls were added to the church during Pentecost at the preaching of Peter, who had just been "baptized with the Holy Ghost." Do not confuse this "act of God," with the charismatic "move of god," typically called "slain in the spirit," which is certainly not of God!

And by the way, after that glorious event, Peter did not ever fall back! And he was no longer afraid of what men might say or do. In fact, because the Holy Spirit was truly with him, many were saved that day!

May God raise up true men of God who are unwilling to compromise the truth of God's Word, and be willing to boldly speak that truth as they are empowered by His Holy Spirit to be His witnesses!

Acts 2:14-41But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day (approximately nine o'clock in the morning).

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

And on My servants and on My handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that He should be holden of it.

For David speaketh concerning Him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for He is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with Thy countenance.

Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that His soul was not left in hell, neither His flesh did see corruption.

This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, He hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on My right hand, Until I make Thy foes Thy footstool.

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, Whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.”

The Biblical view of this momentous event, that marked the beginning of the Christian Church, has become so obscured through the ages, along with the importance of the Passover when Jesus was crucified.

This year Passover began the evening of 14 Nisan 5776/22 April 2016, and Jesus' resurrection should have been celebrated three days later, on 24-25 April 2016/17 Nisan 5776, but most people observed Easter on 27 March 2016, according the Roman Catholic Church tradition, which was almost a month before Passover!

Christians typically do not keep up with the Hebrew calendar or know the significance of keeping the Biblical Holy Days, much less understand how important they are to God, but I AM very certain Satan does!

I encourage you to read The First Appearance of the Lord Jesus for a more detailed account of why I see that Pentecost/Shavuot is not only the commemoration of when God first gave His Word at Mount Sinai, and then His Spirit to those who were waiting for Him in Jerusalem, but I also believe it was on this very special holy day of 6 Sivan that the Messiah of Israel was born into this dark and dying world!

I realize that my views may seem radical to some, even among those I love the most, but I know how vitally important God's word is, and He made sure that we have a copy, not only by His own hand, but by the hand of holy men who were inspired by His Spirit to write it down.

Exodus 31:18 "And He gave unto Moses, when He had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God."

2 Peter 1:21 "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

God's word has been written, His beloved Son lived it out, and those who are truly "born again," have been given His Holy Spirit; thus there is no excuse for not doing God’s will. Yet, so many "Christians" are falling away from genuine faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, not only due to a "lack of knowledge," but because they believed the lies of men and fell into the trap of the wicked one.

I truly hope, through my ministry, to dispel some of the fallacies that are spoken in the name of the LORD; and it is my sincere desire to help others to see some of the things that the LORD has shown me.

May  the "True Light" of Christ, shine upon those who love the LORD, and truly want to serve Him. May they have a heart to understand why ignorance about God and His Word is causing so many people to perish.

God’s word has been under attack from the beginning, and Satan has been systematically undermining the true gospel of Jesus Christ. The evil one is guilty of mixing truth with lies in order to mislead the unsuspecting soul, and he has been quite affective among God's people.

One way Satan has accomplished his evil deeds is by corrupting the Word of God by inserting the manuscripts of Westcott and Hort, and other corrupt writings, into the “modern versions” of the Bible. This diabolical act has caused great division in the body of Christ, and I see this issue as the major cause of error and deception in the churches.

The “corrupted copies,” also known as the Alexandrian manuscripts, many times do not even agree with each other. The Vaticanus and Sinaiticus manuscripts are part of this deviant group of manuscripts, and are heavily relied upon by most modern translators. Through the use of footnotes, deletions, additions, and alterations integrated into the "Received Text," it has cast a dark shadow over God's word.

I am not against modern versions as such, just the poison in them! Some versions are very subtle in their mixture (which brings about a slow death), but others, such as "The Message" of Eugene H. Peterson, are so  blatant in their corruption! I am outraged that his book is even called a Bible by Christian scholars! And I Am even more disappointed that his work has been accepted by so many of God's people!

As I was doing research for this article, I came across a passage from "The Message," and it reminded me of why I abhor that book! I realize that many undiscerning Christians are deceived into thinking that his perversion of God's Word is trustworthy, but I strongly disagree!

Here is Peterson's "private interpretation" of Psalm 19:1-2. Please read this for informational purposes only! "God’s glory is on tour in the skies, God-craft on exhibit across the horizon. Madame Day holds classes every morning, Professor Night lectures each evening." (MSG)

It sounds like "new age" jargon to me, certainly NOT the word of God. In contrast, consider the beautiful language of the King James Version, and in my view is one of the most reliable translations in existence.

Psalm 19:1-2 "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge."

It has been said that once you have the "knowledge" then you will be held accountable for what you have heard, but if you call yourself a man or woman of God, you are already accountable to God's every word, regardless of whether you read it, believe it, or not!

For followers of Christ, God's Holy Word is food and drink for our souls, and it is vital that we eat from the "table of the Lord," and not from the table of the world, or worse from the table of devils!

Otherwise, if we continually condone our own sin and the sin of others, and believe false doctrines in place of the truth, we will grow weary, disappointed, discouraged, and eventually become very sickly, all the while dying inside and not knowing why.

God still speaks through His Holy Word, and His Holy Spirit, if we would only take the time to read it and listen to Him! But regretfully most people are taught that God does not really have a voice today!

The many debates about the King James Bible/Authorized Version, and the modern versions, have been ongoing, and we must not “agree to disagree” any longer; otherwise Satan will continue to lead innocent people astray, and away from God and His truth. I ask you, How much “poison” are you willing to take, or share with others?

Darkness and evil together equals the devil's work, and Satan is the great deceiver who wants us to believe him, and not God. Consider what Jesus said when He was tempted by the Devil, as revealed in Matthew 4:4, "...It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."

As noted in the following passages Jesus always confirmed God's Word.

Deuteronomy 8:1-3 "All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.

And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep His commandments, or no.

And He humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that He might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live."

Jesus said in Matthew 5:17 "Think not that I Am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I Am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."

Jesus Christ fulfilled all that was written, in the law and the prophets, about the Messiah of Israel. May we have have "eyes to see" the truth as we compare the Holy Scriptures with the testimony of Jesus.

Divisions surrounding the birth, and the death, of Jesus Christ will no doubt continue, but had the Son of the living God never been born, mankind would be without hope, and without God, in this world!

In closing, I would like to highlight one of my very favorite passages, which many modern versions, even the beloved NASB, have greatly corrupted by leaving "God" out. Some just relegate Him to a footnote, but my God, who is "manifest in the flesh," will have the last word! Knowing that keeps me going every day! Praise God!

1 Timothy 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." Amen!
