are varying opinions as to when Jesus' birth actually took place,
and irrespective of men's
traditions, I am certain that
Jesus was not born into this world on the 25th of December, as most people
Consider what the Word of
God has to say on this matter:
'And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city
of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph,
of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the
LORD is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what
manner of salutation this should be.
the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt
call His name JESUS.
shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the LORD God
shall give unto Him the throne of His father David: And He shall reign over the
house of Jacob for ever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end.
Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be,
seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy
Ghost shall come upon thee, and the Power of the Highest shall overshadow thee:
therefore also that Holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the
Son of God.'
Some teach the
6th month refers to Elizabeth's pregnancy with John, but if you read it just as it
is written, that amazing declaration took place during the 6th Jewish
month of Elul, and the following is a plausible scenario of the true birth of
On 1 Tishrei, the
7th Jewish month/late September or early October,
Blowing of the Trumpets takes place to signify an extremely momentous event is
about to take place on 10 Tishrei, which is the
Day of Atonement a.k.a.
(Leviticus 23:23-32), which is
the most important and solemn of Jewish Holy Days.
and forgiveness is the primary focus of this Special Day, and when the
Temple in Jerusalem was still standing, it was the only
day of the year that
High Priest could go into the
Holies to make
for his sins and the sins of the Jewish people.
I believe it was on this very Day that Jesus,
the Son of the Living God, was wonderfully conceived by the mighty power of the
Holy Spirit, 'within the veil,' where no eyes could see, except the 'Holy
Father.' And HE IS the only One 'by Whom we have now received the Atonement,' for
all who accept the sacrifice of Christ, who God raised from the dead.
Hebrews 4:14-16 'Seeing
then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the Heavens, Jesus
the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an
High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was
in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of
grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.'
The Feast of Tabernacles, a.k.a.
next important Holy Day on God's 'calendar'
which takes place on
15-21 Tishrei, and I Am certain it would have been a particularly joyous
event for those 'select few' who knew that the long awaited Messiah of Israel was now
in the world, albeit He was just a tiny seed.
I Am just amazed to see how
my Heavenly Father would
ensure that His 'chosen people' would highly exalt the miraculous conception of
His beloved Son Jesus, without them really knowing the true significance until
it was Time; and so as to highlight the importance of that Season, God required
that all people and nations everywhere honor this 'Feast,' or suffer the
consequences, according to the Scriptures.
Zechariah 14:16-19 'And
it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations
which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the
King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
And it shall be, that whoso
will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to
worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
And if the family of Egypt go not
up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague,
wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the Feast of
Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of
Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the Feast of
stipulation for Jesus' birth to have happened as I
have suggested, is it had to be a leap year when the 13th Jewish month
Adar II occurs, and interestingly it is also when the Festival of
'traditions' celebrate Purim during Adar II, and others celebrate it during
Adar I, a.k.a. Purim Katan or 'Little Purim' in Hebrew; and considering that
Purim is the commemoration of the amazing providence of God
when He gave His people victory over the Enemy, it would be so fitting for
that to be the special year when 'the Father sent the Son to be the
Saviour of the world.' 1 John 4:14
asked His people
to keep Purim as a memorial of when they
'rested from their
enemies,' and 'that they should make them days of feasting
and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.'
Not only were
people told to observe the days of Purim, (14 & 15 Adar), but according to
God's word, (Esther 9:27-28), so were 'all
such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they
would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their
appointed time every year;
And that these
days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every
family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim
should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish
from their seed.' (You can
read the entire book of Esther to fully
understand why God said that the days of Purim are important Days to be
commemorated by all who love the God of Israel.)
So, if my calculations are correct,
the final waiting period for the coming of the Messiah would have been
Counting of the Omer, which began the day after Jesus was crucified during
Passover. And I believe it was during the Feast of Pentecost a.k.a.
Shavuot, on 6 Sivan,
when the 'true birth'
of Jesus Christ
actually took place,
who is the
embodiment of Fulfilled Prophecy, especially
when you consider
that it was during the 3rd Jewish month of Sivan when God gave
Moses the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai; and it was also during this same month of Sivan,
that God sent
the Holy Spirit at the Feast of Pentecost soon after the LORD Jesus 'ascended up
to Heaven in a cloud.'
when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one
place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind,
and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
And there appeared unto them
cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with
the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
2:16-21 'But this is that which
was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in
the last days, saith God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: and your
sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams:
And on My servants and on My
handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
And I will shew wonders in
heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of
smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before
that great and notable day of the LORD come:
And it shall come to pass,
that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved.'
I admit, that without much prayerful study, the date of Jesus' birth is not as clearly
seen in the Scriptures as
was His crucifixion and death, but there is absolutely no doubt as to when the
LORD Jesus Christ
willingly gave His life for the 'sin' of this world.
Furthermore, it was during
before He was to be crucified, that He asked His
to remember Him and His great sacrifice at future celebrations of that very
until He comes again.
I Corinthians 11:23-27 'For I have received of the LORD that which also I
delivered unto you, That the LORD Jesus the same night in which He was
betrayed took bread: and when He had given thanks, He brake it, and said,
Take, eat: this is My body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of
After the same manner also He took the cup, when He had supped,
saying, This cup is the New Testament in My blood: this do ye, as oft as ye
drink it, in remembrance of Me.
For as often as ye eat this bread, and
drink this cup, ye do shew the LORD'S death till He come. Wherefore whosoever
shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the LORD unworthily, shall be
guilty of the body and blood of the LORD.'
is the one 'whom God hath sent' to prepare the way for
the 'True Light' to come into this Dark and dying world, and he is
the one who would have been born

gave his life in the service of the LORD, as he
boldly declared the
Word that he was given, until the Enemy of God brutally murdered him. And the message
John proclaimed is the same

crying in the wilderness, make straight the way of the LORD... Repent ye: for the kingdom of
Heaven is at hand.' (John
There will be a Day of Reckoning for all
those who have willfully rejected Almighty God, His Holy Word, and His beloved
Son, especially for those who claim to be followers of the LORD Jesus Christ!
Jeremiah 23:1-6 'Woe be unto
the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture! saith the LORD.
Therefore thus saith the LORD God
of Israel against the pastors that feed My people; Ye have scattered My flock,
and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you
the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.
And I will gather the remnant of My
flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again
to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. And I will set up
shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be
dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.
Behold, the days come, saith the
LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign
and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In His
days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is His name
whereby He shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.'
birth of the LORD Jesus Christ, is an extremely important
event, and irrespective of the exact date, had He never been born, all of mankind would be without Hope
in this very Dark and dying world.
There was a time when the
salvation of God's people was brought about due to the courageous
acts of a
young woman, that under the threat of death was willing to appeal to the King,
who by the providence of God happened to be her Husband. And if God chose to use a faithful woman to bring down
the Enemy back then, He may choose to use a woman that is truly committed to Him, 'for such a Time as
this' to bring 'that old Serpent, called the Devil, and Satan,' to his
2 Corinthians 4:1-6
"Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint
not; but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in
craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation
of the Truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of
But if our gospel be hid, it is
hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the
minds of them which believe not, lest the Light of the glorious gospel of
Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
For we preach not ourselves,
but Christ Jesus the LORD; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For
God, who commanded the Light to shine out of Darkness, hath shined in our
hearts, to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face
of Jesus Christ." Amen!
